Dr. Tamuka Chidyausiku
Tamuka “Muk” Chidyausiku, Ph.D. is a protein engineer, science communicator, and founder of STEAMulater LLC, a platform blending STEM with pop culture to engage diverse audiences. Trained under Nobel Laureate David Baker, he earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Washington and currently serves as Principal Scientist in Protein Engineering at Pledge Therapeutics. Muk’s work fuses structural biology, storytelling, and education. He brings molecules to life through art, hip hop, and interactive media.

Jason Bradshaw
Jason Bradshaw is a Platform Engineer at Parry Labs and a passionate STEM advocate within his community, serving as a dedicated technology mentor. As the National Webmaster for the Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) and a member of the board of the STEM Alliance of North Alabama, he leverages his technical skills and leadership to support these vital organizations. As an active member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., he utilizes his technology skills to assist with youth development and community upliftment. As the past president of the Huntsville chapter of BDPA, he spearheaded impactful initiatives that provided over 150 students with crucial STEM skills and pathways. His entrepreneurial drive is evident in Bradshaw Tech and Designs, LLC, and the highly successful Code.Sip.Repeat workshops, where he fosters a vibrant learning environment and offers hands-on coding experiences for tech enthusiasts of all levels. Lastly, and most importantly, Jason takes great pride in being an active father in his four children's lives.

Marquis Barnes
Marquis is a senior software engineer from Philly with over 20 years of computer experience and 10 of coding. Outside of his full time job, he’s a multimedia artist creating everything from music to short films. He’s also the curator of the Qomputer Quis YouTube channel which is aimed at covering Black and brown experiences within the tech field and helping those looking to break into it.

Kimberly Perkins
Kimberly Perkins is a seasoned financial professional with a background at leading firms including Fidelity Investments and Merrill Lynch, where she specialized in personalized financial planning and wealth management. With a passion for financial literacy and community empowerment, Kimberly blends her deep industry knowledge with real-world insight to help individuals take charge of their financial futures. She has also worked across venture capital and healthcare sectors, bringing a well-rounded perspective to strategic planning. Kimberly is excited to host this event to provide actionable guidance and support for attendees on their financial journeys.

Tymeria Isom is the founder of The Memory Plate, a Southern comfort food business inspired by her grandmother’s kitchen and a deep love for soulful, homemade meals. As a passionate home cook, teacher, and future restaurateur, Tymeria infuses tradition with purpose by reimagining classic dishes with a modern, health-conscious twist. Through The Memory Plate, she brings warmth, nostalgia, and nourishment to every plate because every bite holds a memory.

HBCU STEM Education Run was founded in 2021 with the mission to Educate, Empower, and Elevate HBCU Students through Scholarships and Career Resources. Since then, it has expanded into an international community and raised thousands of dollars for the next generation of STEM professionals.
Smooth September™ was founded by Jamaican artist and photographer, Demetrius Philp, who discovered his passion for creating delicious juices and teas by combining various fruits and herbs from the Caribbean. Embracing his cultural roots that everyone deserves to live a healthy lifestyle, he decided he needed to share his all-natural tea and juice blends with the world. The company is dedicated to sourcing and crafting the ideal blend of ingredients for their beverages, with a focus on delivering high-quality products that offer significant health benefits as well as using compostable and recyclable packaging material.
Grad Girl Wellness, a comprehensive wellness platform founded by Dr. Angela Crumdy, encourages women to prioritize wellness while pursuing graduate studies. Using virtual and in-person events, a podcast, motivational merchandise, and a private accountability group (coming Fall 2025) we create a vibrant sense of community that supports students throughout their academic journey and beyond!
